Straight Forward Safety

Safety is CFI’s cornerstone. We remain vigilant on and off the road, always looking for opportunities to better improve our safety practices, update our equipment, and provide consistent training for our entire organization. We lead with safety-driven decision-making in all that we do. As captains of their ships, our professional drivers have the final say on what is safe. Nothing we do is worth endangering ourselves or the motoring public.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Safety is a top priority at CFI. We are always on the lookout for how we can improve and upgrade to keep our drivers safe. Along with the safety features on each tractor, the average age is two and a half years years because well-maintained equipment is the safest equipment.

8 BEHAVIORS OF DRIVING SAFELY

1
BE PREPARED
Prepare yourself and your equipment. Take the time and prepare for your day.
2
LOOK AT WHAT’S AHEAD
Looking down the road at what’s ahead will give you time to react safely and avoid potential accidents.
3
ESTABLISH FOLLOWING DISTANCE
Following distance creates a safety cushion for yourself and the motoring public.

USE YOUR MIRRORS

Utilize your mirrors and give yourself vision around your truck.

5
NECESSARY LANE MANEUVERS
Make only necessary lane changes.
6
EVALUATE CLEAR INTERSECTIONS

ANNUAL SAFETY “ROADEO” 2020

We believe we have the best professional drivers in the industry, and we can prove it!

We regularly participate in the Missouri Trucking Association’s “MO Truck Driving Championships” where highly trained professional drivers compete in a series of safety obstacle courses. In preparation for this state level competition, we host our own annual Safety “Roadeo” where CFI professional drivers can compete against each other to find out who’s the best of the best. CFI’s President and EVP, Greg Orr even participates from time to time. Don’t worry – he’s safe.
